 Celebrating 50 Years of Educational Excellence

ABOUT THE BOARD

Henry Chiodini, President, has served on the Board for 16 years.  He is married to Frances and has two children, both graduates of Dakota High School.   Henry has been active in the Chippewa Valley Schools Community as a member of building PTOs, CACs, and the Dakota Booster Club.  He is a dedicated school supporter, a community liaison, and a familiar face at school events, athletic games, and district activities.  Henry also serves on the Building and Site Sub-Committee, and the Personnel Sub-Committee.
George Sobah, Vice President, has been a board member for 10 years.  He works in law enforcement for the City of St. Clair Shores, and is married to Karen.  They have three daughters and one son.  George’s four children attend Chippewa Valley Schools.  He has been involved in Chippewa Valley through his school PTO as a member and treasurer.  George is a trusted Board member who is always willing to share his knowledge and expertise on issues concerning school safety and security.  He is Chairperson of the Operations Sub-Committee, and serves on the Personnel Sub-Committee.
Tammy Reynolds, Treasurer, has served more 3 years on the board.  She is married to Dean and their son attends elementary school in the district.  She has worked as a teacher at the elementary and middle school levels.  She has taught adult education and worked as a college coordinator for Baker College.  Since 2002, she has worked as a business consultant for R&R Training, Inc., a company that provides educational training for major corporations. Tammy is an active parent in the PTO and also serves on the Building and Site Sub-Committee, Curriculum Sub-Committee, and is chairperson of the Finance Sub-Committee.  She also enjoys affiliations with such organizations as the Clinton Township Optimist Club and the Leukemia Society for Children.
Frank Bednard, Secretary, has served for 9 years on the board and works for the Macomb County Sheriffs Department.   He is married to Pamela and has two children.  Their daughter is a graduate of Chippewa Valley Schools, and his son is currently attending Chippewa Valley High School.  Frank is a visible presence in the community and local schools as an instructor for boating and water safety.  He has served as a positive role model for youth as a local football coach. Frank is the Chairperson of the Personnel Sub-Committee, and serves on the Operations Sub-Committee.
Denise Aquino, Trustee, has served on the Board for 13 years. She is married to Rich.  Denise has two children, both Dakota graduates.  Her daughter is currently attending Oakland University.   Denise has been involved in our District for many years serving on special committees, the Mohawk PTO and the Dakota Boosters.   She has been very active with school legislative issues.  Local legislators know her as an advocate for children and school funding issues.  Denise serves as Chairperson of the Building and Site Sub-Committee and serves on the Curriculum Sub-Committee.
Julie Fitzgerald, Trustee, is the newest member of the Board of Education.  She was appointed to a vacancy on the Board in December of 2008.  Julie lives in Clinton Township with her husband George and their two children, who attend school in Clinton Township. She has been an active member of Kids Count and the Together for Children committees.  Julie has worked in the banking industry and as a third party administrator managing health care benefits for large employee groups.  We welcome her to her new role on the Chippewa Valley Board of Education.  Julie also serves on the Finance Sub-Committee and the Operations Sub-Committee.
Andy Patzert, Trustee, has served for 8 years on the board. He retired from Chippewa Valley High School after 32 years as a counselor, teacher, and coach.  He is married to his wife Lynn and they have three children.  Andy’s son graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1989.  He has served on numerous committees including the Chippewa Valley Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.  Andy is a big supporter of our athletic programs and has been inducted into the CVHS Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in the area of athletics.  He serves as Chairperson of the Curriculum Sub-Committee and serves on the Finance Sub-Committee.
