Dear Fifth Grade Parents:
As we approach our final weeks of school, I would just like to announce our Fifth Grade Completion Ceremony that will be held on Tuesday, June 13th at 6:00 pm in the Ojibwa gym. We would like our students to wear their “Sunday Best” for this ceremony. Students will be rehearsing for the Fifth Grade Completion Ceremony many times prior to the event. We are looking forward to this special day.
Students will be asked to write an essay or poem that reflects their most meaningful elementary experience at Ojibwa. One student from each fifth-grade class will be selected to read their essay or poem during the completion ceremony. The entry essay or poem needs to be turned into their classroom teacher by Friday, May 26th. A committee of staff members will select the winners and these students will then prepare for the evening event with our Media Clerk, Ms. Paglia.
The ceremony will likely last until approximately 6:45 pm. Refreshments will be provided by the Ojibwa PTO for students, parents, and guests following the ceremony. Upon completion of the ceremony and reception, fifth grade students are free to find their hand print on the Ojibwa wall to take pictures, or to go to special locations in or outside of the building to take pictures with their family and friends.
We have been fortunate to partner with you and wish you and your child continued success. I look forward to seeing you at this festive occasion. Thank you, again, for helping to make this and all other educational experiences so exceptional!
Leo Kondziolka
Principal
Please remember there is NO PARKING along the curbs surrounding the school building. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Additional parking for this evening event is available at Glen Peters, which is next door to Ojibwa.
