In an exciting E sports update, the Super Smash team moves on to round 3 of the play off series.  They will play against Saline High School on Dec 2 to see if they will go to the semi finals.  Good luck!

Good Luck to our HOSA competitors competing in Regionals at Dakota High School

The Fall E Sports season has come to a close. Overwatch had a strong overall finish, and Super Smash made the season playoffs.  Smash went on to win their first playoff game this past Wednesday and will now move on to compete against Brother Rice tonight.  There are 3 rounds of playoffs so if they make it all the way through, they will compete in person at Michigan State University.  The CVHS Smash team is Devon Henry, Jackson Leflar, Ra'Sun Rich, Simon Karl and Connor Tesch.  Good luck with today's match!

Juniors, our research partners at Wayne State and USC sent their survey link to you one more time in an attempt to get some more responses. They have responses from 60% of you and would like to get that up to 80%. The email with the survey was sent to students who haven't yet participated. It was sent by Huriya Kanwal Jabbar, Associate Professor at USC. 

There will be a Coalition Teen Council meeting during lunch hours on Monday, November 25th in the Media Center tech room.

The Athletic Department will begin passing out participation cards for Winter sports beginning on Monday, November 4th.  You must have a current physical to get a card.  If you turned in a physical for a Fall sport, that’s good for the entire school year, however, you still need to pick up a participation card as we re-check grades. Try-out dates and times are listed below:

·         Freshmen: 2:30 in Aux Gym

·         JV: 4:30 Main Gym 

·         Varsity: 6:30 Main Gym

·         Wrestling: Nov. 11 Wrestling Room 2:30 

·         Competitive Cheer: Nov 12 5:00 Aux Gym

·         Girls & Boys Bowling: Nov 14 Imperial Lanes 3:00

Additional Announcements


Key Club will be hosting the annual canned food drive during 1st hour ONLY from Wednesday, November 6th - Wednesday, November 13th. The top 3 classes will receive a doughnut and juice party.  All cans/non-perishables will be donated to the Clinton Township Kiwanis.  


We are bringing the Rowdy Red Zone to the CVHS Auditorium for Student Night for our school musical, Cinderella! CVHS Students can purchase discounted tickets for student night, which is on Thursday, November 14th at 7:00pm. See attached flyer for more information.


Try-outs for the Competitive Cheerleading teams will be held on November 12th and 14th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Aux gym. You will then be given a specific time to report on Friday, November 15th.  Try-out packets are available in the Athletic office.


Chippewa Valley Band Boosters are proudly hosting our 30th annual Craft Show! This is the largest representation of crafters in several years, over 200. We are using multiple areas of the high school to provide an amazing experience. There will be concessions (with more tables to sit down), our Holiday Band playing lovely tunes, and a chance to win prizes including a 75” Toshiba Smart TV!
