Always a leader, rather than a follower, Aubree Leitch displays the highest degree of integrity, responsibility, and ambition. Her teacher, Becky Kiel, describes her as “a consummate professional: conscientious, organized, patient, flexible, and more disciplined and self-motivated than any other student I have known, making her the student that many others look to for guidance.” Her skillfulness and passion in the classroom are superlative, but her real gift may be that she can make any student, regardless of ability and knowledge level, feel welcome and supported.   

Aubree is currently in the National Honor Society in addition to serving as Secretary of the Executive Board of the CVHS choir. She places a strong value on philanthropy, having recently traveled to Kentucky to assist those devastated by flash floods.    She also volunteers in after school programs to work with children.  Aubree has also planted local community gardens and has been involved in providing for local families in need. 

Planning to study Elementary Education at either Western Michigan University or Saginaw Valley State University, Aubrey is confident that her experience in the Careers in Education Program has been incredibly helpful in her path to become an Educator. Chippewa Valley Schools is very proud to celebrate Aubree Leitch as an Outstanding CTE Senior!

Jezani Neferkari has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill throughout his coursework and involvements at Chippewa Valley High School. Jezani has excelled in the Finance program and in his Business Internship. His consistency and attention to detail have not only earned him a certification in Excel, but also the respect of his peers and instructors and the coaches he works with. Jezani will be working on his Intuit QuickBooks Online, Intuit Bookkeeping Professional and Excel Expert certifications later this year. During his internship for the CVHS Basketball program, Jezani applied his classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, showcasing his professionalism and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. He has been downloading, cataloging and archiving film from the past several years. He will be working on clerical and organizational tasks for the youth basketball program with Mr. Smith. There is no task too big, or too small for Jezani. He is always willing to help and quick to action when you need him. His commitment to excellence and his proactive approach to learning make him a deserving candidate for this nomination.  Chippewa Valley Schools is very proud to celebrate Jezani Neferkari as an Outstanding CTE Senior!

Bob Sparks is a long-time supporter of the School District and Marketing Programs.  He is a local business owner that specializes in installation of Industrial rolling Steel doors, Loading docks, and Retro fittings.  He has been a member of our Marketing advisory board for 20 years and has served as a DECA judge as frequently as possible with his busy schedule.  In the past Premium Door has employed some of our students, and also provided classroom supplies when requested.  Premium door has given out multiple scholarships to several students for DECA leadership events and competitions. Bob has also provided jobs for some of our students over the years and served as a mentor to them. Bob and other representatives of his business have visited our classrooms as a guest speaker on entrepreneurship and sales, and distribution. Chippewa Valley is very grateful for the partnership that we have built with Bob Sparks and Premium Door and we are grateful for his willingness to bridge the gap between the classroom and industry.
