Jonah Beniamin exemplifies many qualities of being a leader as a student at Dakota High School. His dedication and passion for learning is evident in everything he does in his business classes. Jonah's assignments and classwork are not only always on time, but also of the highest quality. He thinks critically and asks quality questions that promote higher-level understanding when in class discussions.  Jonah has maintained all A's in his Business classes at Dakota, having taken Entrepreneurship in his Junior year and now earning high marks in Keyboarding and Business Management and Technology.  He will be Microsoft 365 Certified in Excel, Word and PowerPoint by the end of the 2023-2024 school year. Jonah is also involved in extra-curricular activities and has participated in Football for two years, Wrestling, Key Club, HOSA (Medical club) for 1 year. Jonah plans to study Accounting at either Wayne State or MSU in the fall of 2024.

Madison Galich is a remarkable and dedicated student with a passion for math and science, exemplifying outstanding qualities that make her a deserving candidate for this nomination.  Madison consistently exhibits a strong work ethic and an exemplary aptitude for math and science. Her commitment to completing class projects on time is evident, and she takes great pride in the quality of her work. Notably, Madison's diligence in addressing any mistakes or challenges she encounters showcases her commitment to excellence.  In addition to her individual achievements, Madison's leadership qualities shine through in her interactions with classmates. She willingly offers guidance and support to her peers, becoming a valuable resource within the class. When I am engaged in assisting other students, Madison steps up as a leader, providing assistance and direction to her classmates to ensure the successful completion of projects.  Madison's teamwork and collaborative spirit are further demonstrated by her ability to work seamlessly with others. Her classmates frequently seek her guidance, confident in her ability to lead them in the right direction. Madison's leadership extends beyond the classroom, as she is an active member of the Macomb Shock baseball team, showcasing her dedication to both academics and extracurricular activities.

Henry Ford Health Systems has been a leading partner in providing work-based learning opportunities for Chippewa Valley Schools students in the Medical Careers program since 1998.  By organizing internships in a working hospital, Henry Ford Health partners Julie Boscaglia, Karen Watt, and Daniel Kilbourne provide our students with rich and relevant experiences that allow them to make connections between the lessons learned in the classroom and the world of medicine that awaits them beyond high school.  Chippewa Valley Schools is grateful for this continued partnership that includes serving as advisors to the program at both the district and regional level.
